[ ] the original morphology of shrub, high 1-3m. Stems stout, except the lateral special squid, unbranched. Leaves alternate, petiolate ca. 1cm; leaves papery or thickly Kennedy, elliptic or oblong-lanceolate, length 9-17cm, width 3-5cm, apex acuminate, base cuneate, margin crisped or minutely crenate, interdental with marginal glands, abaxially usually with dense glandular dots, especially in the leaf margins for many, sometimes sparsely scaly, abaxial midvein, lateral veins to bulge; 15-30, as close to the edge of the marginal vein. Compound corymb or umbels, born in the lateral special squid top, flowers up to 30cm; pedicels long 2.5-3.5mm; sepals oblong-ovate to rounded, apex obtuse or rounded, long 2.5-3.5mm, with dense glandular, inside puberulent; petals white or pale yellow at first, later pink, long 6-8mm, ovate to broadly ovate, apex acute, glandular, sometimes only inside basally with sparsely puberulent; stamens shorter than petals, anthers lanceolate or ovate, back with glandular dots; pistil and petals equaling or slightly shorter, ovary globose, with dense glandular dots. Fruit is globose, diameter 7-9mm, red, with dense glandular dots. Flowering of 6-7 months, fr. 10-12 month or early January.
