Medicine source: as the Juncaceae plant Juncus amplifolius rhizome.
Latin animal mineral name: Juncus amplifolius A . Camus
Harvest and storage:7-9excavation, removal of fibrous root, washed, dried.
[ ] the original morphology of Juncus amplifolius, perennial, high 20-30cm. With long creeping rhizomes. Culms erect, about 2mm in diameter, smooth, with longitudinal stripes. Leaves much set2/ 3on stems section below, born in tiller are up to 15cm; the5-8cm2.5-3.5cm stems long, wide, apex obtuse apex; leaf sheath closely clasping, no obvious lobe ear. Inflorescences are 2-3capitulum capitulum with each3-10flower; leafy involucre longer 1-4cm; flowers have short stem, red brown, long 5.5-7mm; tepals 6, lanceolate, ca.5mm, with white membranous margin; stamens 6, filaments long2mm, long 3mm, anthers yellowish, pistil with style, long 2-3mm, stigma filamentous3bifurcation. Capsule egg shape, brown, style accommodation. Seeds ovate, two ends of long 1mm caudate appendage. Flower, fruit7-8.
