Harvesting and storage: root: spring, autumn excavation, to shoot, washed and dried, cut into sections; flowers and whole plant: summer, autumn flowering when harvested, dried or fresh use.

[Original form] Altai Gouwa flower perennial herb. A horizontal or vertical take root. Stems erect, 20-60cm, thin up to 100cm, with branches, to be glands and hair. Leaves alternate; strip the lower leaves lanceolate or oblong, oblanceolate or nearly spatulate, length 2.5-6cm, dilute up to 10cm, width 0.7-1.5cm, entire or with sparse shallow teeth, two or below is coarse or fine hairs, often glandular dots, upper leaves gradually smaller, bar. Deng diameter main head-shaped flowers 2-3.5cm, thin 4cm, was born of branches arranged in corymbose; involucre hemispherical, diameter 0.8-1.8cm, bracts 2-3 layers, the outer layer of nearly equal length or slightly short, oblong-lanceolate or bar, herbaceous, hair, often glandular, membranous edge; ray florets about 20, light blue-violet to tongue, oblong bar, length 10-15mm, width 1.5-2.5mm; tubular length 5-6mm, lobes 5, where 1 lobes longer be sparse hair.
