Leaves alternate, 2 columns; petiole length l-2.2cm, shortly hairy; stipules linear or narrowly triangular, ca. 2mm, hair, after shedding scars; leaf blade elliptic or obovate-oblong, length 7-22cm, width 3 8.5cm, apex acuminate or short acuminate, base cuneate, margin entire, often leaves in order to pinnately lobed shiny, glabrous above, following closely by hoar short villi; cases of vein 7 a 9 pairs, veinlets reticulate veins and woven into the back projection. Flowers unisexual, monoecious; male inflorescences solitary axillary, obovate or rod-like shape, length 1.5-2CM, diameter 1-1.5cm, total peduncular long 1-2cm, grayish pubescent; male flowers : tepals 4, separation, linear or spatulate, long 1mm, densely puberulent; stamens 1, filaments long oval, anthers ellipsoid. Aggregate fruit subglobose, diameter 3-4cm, yellow, brown when dry, to be short, surface is not obvious, night latch protrusion, sepals nearly axis part, results about 12; Guo Bingchang 3.5-6.5cm, pubescent. Flowering in late spring and early summer, fr. autumn.
2 Gui Mu and Bai Jiamu's difference lies in: the leaf blade elliptic or egg shape is elliptic, apex obtuse or short acuminate. Aggregate fruit diameter of 5cm, red when fresh, dry brown, tomentose; seed 10-15.
