Harvest and storage: summer, autumn stripping bark, dried.

Ye Husheng; petiolar long 5-10mm; leaf blade firmly papery, oblanceolate, apex acuminate, base cuneate, long 9-19cm, wide 2-5cm, entire; midrib in conspicuous abaxially, lateral veins 14-20 pairs. Sub umbel or racemes,6-12 having a flower, axillary, pedicels 1.3-2cm; sepals broadly ovate, ca.2mm, apex obtuse or rounded, base nearly auriculate, folded, ciliate and glandular dots; petals widely ovate, white, with purple-red glandular, base slightly commissure, long 5-7mm, with glandular dots; stamens shorter than petals, filaments short, less than1/2long anthers; anthers lanceolate, apex acute to acuminate, back with glandular dots; pistil and petals equaling. Fruit oblate, ca.7mm, purplish red or black belt. With dense glandular dots, persistent sepals reflexed. Florescence 2-4 month, month of fruit period 9-11.
