This product is Labiatae plants thyme Thymus mongolicus Ronn. the part on the ground. ( British) Mongolian Thyme Herb
Alias: Thyme, incense.
Plant morphology: short small shrubby herb, have a strong fragrance. Lay prostrate bine end into the sterile branches or occasional cuttlefish. Stems with four ribs, branch purple, densely tomentose; flower2 ~ 10cm high. Leaves opposite,2 ~4, ovate,0.5 to 1cm in length, lateral veins 2to 3on both sides, in the lower part of the glandular dots; petiole ca. as half of the upper blade, petiole shorter. Inflorescences capitate; calyx slightly2-lipped, throat with a ring of hairs; corolla purple to pink, two lips form, grow 6.5 ~8mm; stamens 4, two strong, out of. Nutlets subglobose or ovoid. Florescence 6 ~ August, fruit period in September.
Born in the mountain, the weeds. Located in Inner Mongolia, Shaanxi, Gansu, Ningxia, Qinghai, Shanxi, Hebei.
