Medicine medium source: Rubiaceae plants fruit Morinda root.
Latin botanical name: Morinda cochinchinensis DC. animal fossil
Harvest and storage: Autumn grubbing, washed, dried.
[ ] the original morphology of Morinda officinalis fruit, climbing shrub, was to change after light yellow, wide exhibition of villous. Inflorescences terminal, umbellate type arrangement, by 4-10capitulum, capitate diameter6-8mm,10-20 having a flower; peduncles long 1-3cm, hairs; calyx tube nearly hemispherical apex, ca.2mm,4-5cleft, lobes linear or triangular, unequal, outer bending; corolla tall saucer shaped, long 4-5mm, lobes 4-5, oblong,2-3mm long; stamens and corolla lobes with number. Aggregate fruit subglobose, diameter 1-1.5cm, apex press, red when ripe. Florescence in May.

Ecological environment : in mid-elevation wet valley.
Resource distribution: distribution in Guangdong, Hainan, Guangxi, Yunnan and other places.
[ taste ] Xin; bitter cold;
[ indications ] Qufeng desiccant; Xuanfei zhike. The main rheumatic arthralgia; cold; bronchitis; upper respiratory tract infection
