[ ] the original morphology of Lobelia davidii Franch perennial grass, up to180cm. Stems erect, glabrous or with very short inverted brown. Hairs . Leaves alternate; petiole up to 4cm, on both sides of a winged; leaves spirally arranged, lower caducous; ovate-elliptic or ovate-lanceolate, long and up to17cm, width of7cm, apex acuminate, base attenuate into sessile, margin with irregular serrate or undulate with fine teeth. Racemose top is unripe, long 20-50cm, inflorescence axis glabrous or with very short pilose; bracts ovate-lanceolate lobes lanceolate, strip, long 8-12mm, margin denticulate; corolla purplish red or reddish purple,1.8-2.5( -2.8) cm, nearly two2-lipped, upper lip lobes linear, lower lip lobes oblong or lanceolate in shape the oval, and obviously, glabrous or slightly hairy, below throat pubescent; stamens united into a tube at base or above. Capsule globose, diameter 6-10mm, bottom often back to the rachis, glabrous or have small hair. Seeds brown, slightly compressed. Flower, month of fruit period 8-10.
