Latin botanical name: Caesalpinia magnifoliolata Metcalf. animal fossil
Harvest and storage: collected all the year round, dig out the root, washed, sliced, dried.
[ ] the original morphology of lobar Caesalpinia barbed vines, stem length2meters. Branchlets ferruginous pilose. Two back pinnate with pinnae2-3on; petiole and petiolules are pubescent; leaflets 4-6, leathery oblong, long 4-15cm, wide 2.5-7cm, the top ends obtuse or very obtuse, glabrous above, glossy, pubescent below. Axillary racemes, or panicles terminal; flowers yellow, zygomorphic, pedicels 9-10mm, receptacle depression; sepals 5, the length of about 5mm, about 3mm wide; petals 5, the length of about 10mm, width of 5mm, shortly stipitate; stamens 10, separation,2 wheel alignment, filaments ca.1cm, lower pubescent; ovary glabrous, style ca.1cm, stigma flat truncate. Pod is nearly circular and flat, long 3.5-4cm, width of 3.5cm, dorsal suture to enlarge both Jackie Chan bone narrowly winged, fruit valve wood, brown, reticulate veins surface coarse. Seed 1, suborbicular,2cm diameter, extremely flat, dark brown. Florescence 4-6 month, month of fruit period 9-10.
